  1. Own the drift – Take responsibility first. Say, “I’ve let some things slide — that’s on me. Let’s get back to who we are.” Accountability starts at the top.
  2. Calibrate standards together – Whiteboard with your team: What does good look like? What breaks trust? When people help define the standard, they protect it.
  3. Bake it into your culture – Turn standards into habits. Use values like ownership, consistency, and collaboration in meetings. Celebrate team members who live those standards daily.
