The Tip

Remember to… Shift from control to clarity. As a leader, it’s essential to provide clear goals and expectations before projects start. For example, instead of micromanaging, ask “What’s the goal?”, “Who’s owning what?”, and “What’s the deadline?” This clarity enables your team to take ownership of their work, eliminating the need for constant oversight.

Bonus Tip: Celebrate ownership. Recognize and celebrate when your team takes initiative without being asked. Whether it's during meetings or through personal messages, this reinforces positive behavior and encourages others to follow suit.
